Training & Program
Training & Program
Twin Acres is a horse-showing-based program! We offer unique tailored full training programs for our young horses, training clients, and sales horses, whether it be show prep, fitness & rehab. Full training is a requirement to become part of our show program. Full training includes lessons, training rides, and 5 contacts per week.
We offer clinics throughout the year, bringing in professionals from all different areas of expertise to diversify our learning environment!
Twin Acres has a wonderful team of veterinarians, bodyworkers, and farriers who work together to make sure our horses & ponies are looking and feeling show-ring ready!
Full Care & Boarding
We provide competitive all-inclusive full care and pricing to our clients, which includes:
Our stall horses are provided with 9 hours of private turnout, blanketing according to weather, hoof picking as they come inside from turnout, and a leg hose down if it’s muddy outdoors. Night checks are done on a daily basis at 8:30pm for all horses on the farm.
We provide several therapy modalities to our clientele to keep our horses moving/feeling their best, which include our amazing theraplate, BEMER horse set, red light boots, and class-B cold laser!
Riding Program
We are not a recreational riding program for kids who want to ride horses “just for fun”! We are happy to help you find that program if it suits your needs. We are a show program that develops our clients into show-ready competitors and treats our program as such!
We offer beginner lesson packages on a limited number of our golden lesson horses & ponies to give you your start in our sport. We require you to purchase your own helmet and riding boots. Tack is provided for you as well as a beginner horse for your size and level of skill. Our packages are available for around a 6-month time frame, or until you are walk trot, cantering, and are starting to learn to jump.
Our lesson horses are there to teach you the basics. Their job is to get you your foundation in the sport, and once you’ve outgrown the basics, our lesson string can then continue to teach new riders who continue to enter our program!
To continue participation in our show program, our staff will facilitate a new partnership, whether it be buying your own horse or bringing in a lease horse for the year. We
We have a limited number of in-barn lease options for our riders.
If you participate in our riding school, we require you to ride a minimum of 2 times per week, up to 3-4 times a week in our lesson programs or full training programs. This aids in continued development of our riders.
